In this pseudo-reality where Dante Alighieri was mostly right about Hell, and Gary Gygax’s game has inspired adventurers to break into Hell as the “Ultimate Dungeon Crawl” to kill demons, Mortagan of Wrath, newly returned from her galivant on Earth, must work to create a stronger circle of Hell. People aren’t angry the same way they used to be. When Mortagan’s parents were in charge, they deepened the Sea of Endless Fighting, which is where they throw souls to make room for new ones. Well, all the old fighting souls sank to the bottom, and the new souls are passive-aggressive. That, mixed with many of her high-level demons being given the True Death by adventurers, means very little tormenting of souls is happening. Are people angrier than they are Heretical? Greedy? Lustful? She thinks the fuck not since those layers are full of horribly tormented souls. Follow along as Mortagan rebuilds her realm and tries to stop the humans. The battle has only just begun.
